Eddie Mtsweni — Johannesburg's 20-Year Corporate Event Photography Veteran

Eddie Mtsweni is the founding director of EMT Photography CC — a Johannesburg-based, Black-owned photography studio registered under the Close Corporation Act since 2006. His journey behind the lens began in 1995 with a small calendar and T-shirt printing business in Doornfontein; today, he is one of the most-booked corporate event photographers in Gauteng.

For over 15 years Eddie has shot for PictureNET Africa, one of the country's most respected online photographic agencies, and has freelanced for Sowetan, Sunday Times, Sunday World, Metro FM, Move Magazine and C.B.E. His corporate portfolio includes J&B, MNET, Smirnoff, South African Breweries (SAB), South African Tourism, Denel Dynamics, Transnet Foundation and Windybrow Arts Theatre. Since 2002 he has been the go-to graduation photographer at Wits University and Wits Business School in partnership with Photogenic.

Eddie holds a Certificate in Basic Photography, a Certificate in Portrait Photography and a Certificate in Business Management. He has photographed corporate functions across four African countries and Brazil, and shoots regularly for the Premier Soccer League and City of Ekurhuleni events.
